The next meeting will be Tuesday, September 16, at 6:15 PM.  By popular demand the meeting will discuss using Java and connecting to Informix databases.  We will discuss what Java is, how it works, and how it will change into the future.  Also, we'll show you examples of using Java to access your Informix databases. The meeting will be sponsored by ZenaComp and will be at the ZenaComp Education Center, which is a training facility that offers Informix and other training.

Also at the meeting will be Jenny Barbour from Cognos.  She will be doing a hands-on demo of Impromptu, Powerplay, and Scenario.  These are OLAP tools that provide you with ways to "drill down" and analyze your data by using logic that applies to your business.  They are very powerful reporting tools to analyze data in your Informix database.

The MIUG Board has implemented an "8:30 and out" rule.  This means that we will work with all our presenters and insist that everyone is finished by 8:30.
